What You'll Need
- For the Burgers:
- ¾ lb ground beef
- 1 tbsp Double Dare Ya™ Ghostly Fury™ Seasoning Blend
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns)
- 2 brioche or potato burger buns
- For the Toppings:
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (or ghost pepper cheese for extra heat)
- 2 tbsp spicy mayo (mix ¼ cup mayo with ½ teaspoon Double Dare Ya™ Ghostly Fury™ Seasoning Blend
- 2 leaves lettuce
- 2 slices tomato
- 2 tbsp sliced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
- 2 tbsp diced grilled onions
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with Double Dare Ya™ Ghostly Fury™ Seasoning Blend, and Worcestershire sauce (do not overwork the meat). Divide into four equal-sized balls
- Heat a pan or griddle over medium heat. Spread butter on the cut sides of the buns and toast until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Heat the same pan or griddle over high heat. Place two of the beef balls onto the hot surface and smash them down using a spatula or burger press until thin. Cook for about 2 minutes, then flip. Immediately place a slice of cheese on top and cook for another 1-2 minutes until melted and beef is cooked through. Repeat with remaining two beef balls.
- Spread spicy mayo on both toasted buns. Place lettuce and tomato on the bottom bun. Place two hot, cheesy smash burger patties on top of each bottom bun. Add sliced jalapeños and grilled onions. Top with the second bun.
- Serve with crispy fries, onion rings, or a cool slaw to balance the heat. Enjoy!
